उम्र निकली है

ना ख़ुद का इल्म ना ग़ैरों की ख़बर

हथेली पे जान

रुसवाई का ना ख़याल ना मौत का डर

चलते रहे ‘खिरद’ यूँ रंजो ग़म में गुज़रते रहे पल

मौजो की लहरों पे भी हम मचलते रहे पल दो पल

अब लौट के जाना नहीं मिले मंज़िल या ना मिले रह गुज़र

ना ख़ुद का इल्म ना ग़ैरों की ख़बर

Who am I? Who are these people?

Wondering I wake up from the sleep of life

Wearing my heart on my sleeve I make my way fearlessly towards the unknown

No longer death scares me or others intimidate me

Move on “Khirad”, the voice says

delicately carrying the moments of joy and love 

Turning back is not an option anymore

I walk, whether I find the destination or not 

Who am I? Who are these people?
